custard-and-coastline-original-painting-by-katie-shapiro
Custard and Coastline | Original Painting by Katie Shapiro

Custard & Coastline is a large original abstract painting where the patchwork fields of the English countryside meet the colours of the California coast. Creamy custard yellows, soft blush pinks, and sea glass greens drift across the canvas, broken up by deep Pacific teals, flecks of dotted pattern, and loose navy linework that feels like wind moving over the water.

Painted in my studio in Bath, England, this piece brings together my two homes: the gentle, quilted landscape of Somerset and the sunshine and ocean light of California where I lived most of my life. Built up in layers of water colour, acrylics, and oils and then scraped, scribbled, and painted back into, the surface is rich with texture that rewards a closer look.

At 36 x 64 inches, Custard & Coastline is a true statement piece. Its horizontal, panoramic shape makes it perfect as large wall art above a sofa, bed, or sideboard, bringing warmth, light, and a daily dose of joy to a living room, bedroom, or open plan space. The soft pastel palette works beautifully in coastal, Scandinavian, and modern interiors.

Details:

Mixed media on canvas

Size: 36 x 64 inches

Original one of a kind abstract painting, signed on the back.

Colours: pastel pink, butter yellow, teal, aqua, sea glass green, navy

Style: contemporary abstract, coastal abstract, colour field

Ships from Bath, England

Due to it's large size it is shipped unstretched, rolled in a tube.

Shipping is included.

Virtual viewings are available via contact page on this website.

Payment plans available*

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0860/1580/3718/files/rn-image_picker_lib_temp_c5bf38d5-5376-4881-bf91-fd5281b64ef5.jpg?v=1790452740
