Stacked blocks of teal, aqua, sunshine yellow, and coral rise up the canvas like a row of beach huts, while looping navy and white marks circle and spiral around them, part roundabout, part seaside bunting, part rolling surf.

Painted in my studio in Bath, England, this piece is a playful nod to the winding roads and roundabouts of the England, and the sand and sunshine of Redondo Beach in LA, where I used to live. The sunshine and the rain. The roundabouts and the strand.

Built up in layers of mixed media, then scraped back to reveal glints of gold beneath the teal, the surface is full of texture and energy that rewards a closer look. Even on a cloudy day, we need to remember the sun is still there shining.

Roundabouts & Redondo is a striking vertical statement piece. It's perfect for an entryway, stairwell, dining room, or any wall that needs confident colour, and its navy, teal, and yellow palette works beautifully in coastal, contemporary, and Scandinavian interiors.

Details:

Mixed media on 12 oz cotton canvas.

Shown framed for illustration, frame not included*

Measures 51 x 38 inches (130 x 97 cm) unstretched and unframed **estimate the final piece will be 46 x 33 inches (117 x 84 cm) once gallery wrapped in a float frame

Due to the large size of this artwork shipping it rolled in a tube is truly the safest way for you to receive it in a pristine condition.

Shipping is complimentary, tracked and insured.

International shipping included however, any applicable duties and import fees are the responsibility of the customer.

This is an original one of a kind abstract painting, signed by the artist + comes with signed certificate of authenticity and stretching/ framing guide + consultation if desired.

No prints will be offered of this artwork.

Colours: navy, teal, aqua, sunshine yellow, coral, cobalt, white

Style: contemporary abstract, colour block, coastal abstract

If you'd like to arrange for a virtual viewing, please email me using the contact form on this website.
