Metaphysically, sunflowers embody the journey of the soul: from seed (potential) to bloom (self-realization). They teach us that true growth comes from both rooting deeply in the earth and reaching upward toward a higher power. This study was inspired by these ideas as Katie explored form, texture, color with a minimal approach. Mixed media on 300gsm paper. The finest materials are used in all of Katie's studies.
