"Birds" emerged from a class assignment focused on creative freedom and personal expression. The piece remains raw, genuine, and untouched. Inspired by Bon Iver's song Skinny Love, it captures the mood of the music. Its title was given by Katie’s husband, who frequently names her artworks after seeing birds soaring in the sky. This name reflects the essence of freedom in expressing ourselves openly.
