Painted in my studio in Bath, England, this piece brings together my two homes: the gentle, quilted landscape of Somerset and the sunshine and ocean light of California where I lived most of my life. Built up in layers of water colour, acrylics, and oils and then scraped, scribbled, and painted back into, the surface is rich with texture that rewards a closer look.
