Katie is a native of Los Angeles, and worked in community relations for many years, directly with the immigrant population in Southern California.  Now an immigrant herself, living in England, she has a special appreciation for the plight of the people currently being terrorized by ICE. The colors used in this piece represent the melting pot of diversity that makes Los Angeles, and California the beautiful, strong, wonderful place that it is, not to mention  the 4th largest economy in the world.
