This painting is part of a new body of work I am deeply excited about. The Let's Be Happy series was born from a simple but powerful idea, that color and texture have the ability to genuinely shift how we feel.
You know that feeling when the sun finally breaks through after a long stretch of grey, rainy days? That is exactly what I wanted to capture with Joyful. The way light and color can walk into a room and change everything. The way surrounding yourself with beauty is not indulgent, it is necessary.
