A new body of work Katie is currently in the process of making. This is one of the first pieces she is releasing. "Joyful" was inspired by consciously using color and texture to positively impact the viewer. It's about surrounding ourselves with things that make us feel good. Just like when the sun pops out to shine after a long stretch of gray and rainy days, color in our home or workspace can profoundly impact our moods and when used strategically we can uplift ourselves and everyone in our space.
Katie likes to create art that is livable, meaning it's a piece that we like being around. It uplifts our mood, makes us feel happy, peaceful, energized...all the positive vibes. That is what this series and this signature piece of that series is all about.
Larger in size, it would be perfectly placed above a sofa or king size bed. The dimensions are 60" x 40". Keep in mind that a frame would slightly add to the size.
As shipping costs are astronomical, Katie has opted to sell the works unstretched and unframed. She includes the cost of shipping the work complementary to her customers and is happy to consult with you as you find a local framer. Most of Katie's artworks look good in light oak, ash, white or black. This piece she recommends a black or white frame.
If the artwork is sold to someone locally, Katie has a referral for the framer and will help facilitate that process.
